Imagine how livid MSNBC would have been if Bachmann had said a prayer for Elvis.

Edit: With the spectrum of gaffes from Obama and Biden both, you would think they wouldn’t draw attention to it. Time has a section of their web site devoted to them. Don’t forget the "corpsemen," Biden’s award to the soldier who was actually dead, Biden’s big f*cking deal, Biden’s take on the subway’s being perfectly safe for the public, but his family wouldn’t be on them, and you can go on and on. Michele Bachmann’s problem is that she insists on talking about things that she knows nothing about, which, granted, is just about everything.
If she just stuck to her little simplistic phrases about spending instead of trying to invoke John Wayne (Gacy) or Elvis (his death day) or the founding fathers on slavery, she would be a lot better off.
Her overly ambitious and under-performing mindset is being displayed by her ridiculous remarks. She is not presidential material.

You also seem to forget that Bachmann has a history of… well, misunderstanding history. She didn’t know Concord, NH from Concord, MA and said that the founders "worked tirelessly" to abolish slavery. Those are much more troubling statements that show an amazing lack of understanding of American history.
