Answer: No, Lampard didn`t score as many goals last season because he was out injured for 3/4 months .Rooney looked knackered as well yesterday because he was running and chasing a lot.

He’s past his prime…you’ll soon to see his performances dropping dramatically like last season where he doesn’t get many goals and when he does it’s either penalties or just rebounds. He only has another 2-3 years in him then he’ll retire.

I think he has another 1-2 seasons left but he is looking slower and less composed,but there looks to be a promising replacement who goes by the name of josh mceachran,who looks like a clone of Lampard’ playing style.
Hopefully he can become like him in the near future,but no doubt we are scouting for a replacement for next summer.

Lampard and Gerrard are getting left behind in EPL because the game is very fast.
But don’t forget they are still good players. They can join other slow and passing-based teams like Italian top teams.
